From wrecking balls and Grumpy Cat to ligers and Left Shark, the Mashable House has always brought the best of the Internet to life at SXSW.

This year, at our 2016 Mashable House, we’re going even further. Prepare to visit: the Internet of the future.

So what exactly does the future hold?

Yup. Think Easter Island, but for high fives. Drop by Hi-Five Island for your chance to pick up some of the hottest Mashable swag, and keep an eye out for ways to win even cooler prizes.

Take a break from the chaos of SXSW, enjoy a custom cocktail and mingle at our top-secret speakeasy, hidden deep within the Mashable House. The best part? Quaker will be on hand serving brunch every morning to keep you full and nourished throughout the day. Think hearty overnight oats, Pinterest-worthy mason jars and a ton of amazing toppings — the perfect way to start your day.

Follow Mashable on Snapchat and watch our story during SXSW to see how to gain entrance.

In the future, you’ll be able to customize, mix and mashup your favorite snacks and beverages. At the PepsiCo NSPIRE kitchen on wheels, you can create more than 1,000 unique beverage variations — strawberry-flavored Pepsi, anyone? — and pair them with mashup snacks like Rold Gold pretzel shrimp potstickers and Sabra hummus and cheese stuffed egg rolls.

See the unseen. Visit the Qualcomm Invisible Museum, an interactive experience showcasing all the ways that Qualcomm is part of your life — powering your devices, connecting your world and accelerating tech innovation.

The art of the future might be a little … off. Visit the Mashable House lower courtyard to sample the hottest in futuristic glitch art, including glitch sculptures of some of the most iconic Internet celebrities and memes. Say “future cheese,” and Flixel will turn your photos into a personal glitch memento.

Because of course they will. The Wayin social media wall will capture all the Mashable House social buzz in real time — make sure you’re tagging your posts with #MashSXSW for your chance to be featured.

That’s right. In the future, even tattoos will be advanced. Stop by our emoji tattoo parlor to get (fake) inked, courtesy of Tattly, and show off your very futuristic sense of style.

Facebook and Mashable are teaming up to create the Facebook Live Lounge, which will host influencers, celebrities and more to bring you a exclusive behind-the-scenes look at SXSW. We can’t tell you who some of our special guests will be, but trust us — it’s going to be big. Follow Mashable on Facebook so you don’t miss any of the action, and keep an eye on @MashableEvents for a daily rundown.

HBO is back with the third season of Silicon Valley, and it’s growing to inspiring heights. To celebrate, come by HBO’s Pied Piper lounge, where you can take high-end cinemagraphs and pose for your own inspirational posters while also recharging and stocking up on swag.

We’re partnering with Amazon Launchpad to bring you live entertainment at the Mashable House, and you’re going to want to be there. Stop by on Saturday, March 12, from 12:30-1:00 p.m., when Amazon Launchpad and Sphero host a bracket-style BB8 racing competition, and mark your calendars for Amazon Launchpad and Jamstik+’s pop-up concert/air guitar jam session on Sunday, March 13 from 12:30 – 1:00p.m.

Strap in and check out foodie, adventure and eye candy virtual reality videos of Las Vegas from the comfort of the Mashable House at the Las Vegas VR Bar, and see how the travel of the future will go down.

We’re excited to announce this year’s 2016 SXSW Instacorps team. Committed to capturing the weekend’s events through a local lens, we hand-picked an incredibly talented and eclectic team of Austinites to photograph the essence of SXSWi. We encourage them to bring their own vision to event coverage with free rein over their creative style and aesthetic — the result being a collection of individual perspectives coming together to create a diverse and stunning social gallery for the Mashable and SXSW community.
