Social media has given us so much — the ALS ice bucket challenge, dad bods, DJ Khaled’s Snapchat story. You can say it has us feeling #blessed.
Since its initial launch in 2010, Social Media Day has grown to become an international celebration. From veteran events in Barcelona, Spain to first-time proclamations in Kochi, India, the world will gather on June 30 to recognize the impact social media has had on our lives.
This year in New York City, Mashable, alongside Splash and feedfeed, is hosting a Social Media Day extravaganza of its own. Guests will be able to escape the summer heat with refreshments and snacks provided by our friends at Almond, Aquafina Sparkling, Brooklyn Brewery, GuS and New Amsterdam Vodka. To capture the evening’s most shareable moments, we’ll have both a Studiobooth and Snapchat booth available, as well as a “Create your own ice cream sandwich” station with ice cream provided by Steve’s and cookies by Salt of the Earth Bakery. The feedfeed team will be onsite to ensure “insta-worthy” photos. Space is limited and entry is first come, first served, so be sure to RSVP!
