Jamie Redknapp, Niall Quinn and Alan Smith were in the studio as Middlesbrough beat Sunderland and West Ham won 1-0 against Bournemouth on Super Sunday.
The day started with Middlesbrough’s 2-1 victory at the Stadium of Light against Sunderland before West Ham won their first Premier League game at the London Stadium thanks to a 1-0 win against Bournemouth.
Speaking after Slaven Bilic’s side’s win, Alan Smith said it could take West Ham some time to adapt to their new surroundings at the London Stadium, following a “flat” Premier League bow against Bournemouth.
“The fans didn’t have much to shout about for large parts of the match, did they?” Sky Sports co-commentator Smith said.
“At times it was flat. I think they wanted to get behind the team and, every now and then, the West Ham fans did burst into song.
“I suppose the fans will have to get used to the stadium, just like Arsenal fans at the Emirates.
“It’s a different sort of feeling at the London Stadium than it was at Upton Park.”
